    Never did read em gowing up but theres a show on the CW network called Riverdale very loosely based on them. There is a characters dad whose name is Hiram Lodge.

    I remember them from when I was a kid... Betty and Veronica. But Archie's last name was Andrews. Archie Bunker was in "All In the Family."
    Not sure I ever knew Mr. Lodge's first name.

    I well remember trips to the local variety store where I would pick up the latest Archie comics. I recall it starting the first debates on a theme... Betty vs Veronica, which lead to Ginger vs Mary Ann, etc.

    In the end, I came to the realization that I was probably more like Jughead than anyone else, so the debate at the time was moot!
