Reading history will lead folks to wonder why war has been so common throughout history. Peace is so rare we still talk about the Pax Romana that covered less than half of Europe for five centuries.
The question of whether war is a part of human nature can't be answered through history. Human nature is revealed in both stories of scripture and in evolutionary science.
Search scripture for stories like the Tower of Babel and the Bagavat Gita.
