I recently became interested in doing some research regarding the Council of Nicea and was wondering what the Brothers on this forum thought about the topic. I also want to ask if anyone has done any research of their own and what books are out there that can shed some light on the subject.
From my limited browsing on the topic I suspect (but can not confirm) that the New Testament was put together in 325 AD at the Council and that many ancient books were excluded from the bible. I would like to know what books were excluded and why...who is man to exclude anything that could shine light and spread knowledge..what didn't they want us to know? I find this topic very interesting and would like to pursue it further with some actual research.....as if I weren't already busy enough with school and work but I think research for enlightenment is must more interesting and fun that research for a grade or for monetary gain!
