A man was arrested after the pickup truck he was driving slammed into a Masons building in an Anchorage neighborhood.
KTUU-TV reports that no one was injured Sunday night when the truck crashed into Prince Hall Masonic Order Grand Lodge in Fairview. The building was unoccupied at the time.
Police say the driver tried to flee the scene on foot, but was detained by people who saw the crash until authorities could arrive. A member of Prince Hall Masonic Order described seeing the truck inside the building. Antonio Armstrong says the truck nearly ran right through the building.
Police say the driver faces charges of driving under the influence, criminal mischief, and leaving the scene of an accident.
