I got a lathe for this past Christmas and have been playing with it today. Are there others on here that do wood working or wood turning? Any tips, advice, or examples of work you want to share. Let's see what you've made.....

It's been a while but I used to turn bowls. Some simple laminations and a lot of raw edged stuff.Had a couple in galleries once.
Advice? Spend a little and get good chisels and good sharpening gear. Dull tools exact a painful price.

    Nice work, @Plustax
@Benjamin Baxter good start, time to start rolling those edges over.

Before I was Raised I was doing a lot of carving at work. I took some time one day and made a little gift to give my Mentor the night I was Raised...

I've yet to use a wood lathe but I carved the cross in my avatar out of Pine.

I recently started on a bookcase to house my Masonic book collection and thought I'd share some progress shots.
Atop each column are stone/gem spheres and the S&C inlay is oak and bronze.
