    Infectious negative energy

Your obligation to Masonry dictates that you do not vouch for him at this time. Your obligation to your fellow man dictates that you do all within your cable tow to guide him on his path to light. That may mean being a good example, lifting him up with general positive words, having a frank...

    Potential job relocation to Georgia

Greetings brothers. I am currently in Florida and attend a fully integrated lodge (that is weird to even type). It seems that I might be moving to Marietta, outside of Atlanta. I remember the stories of racism in the SR, and I had heard that blue lodges are segregated... This is a pretty big...

    Traveling in Maine

Brothers, I am in Maine for a week and would like to visit a lodge. Finding addresses is a little difficult. I'm in Waldoboro, so king solomon's #61 waldoboro maine is closest. I'm also near Rockland and Thomaston... Any direction would be greatly appreciated. Cheers, Matt

    Funny Wi-Fi Usernames

I love the one showing "router..." because there are two other wifi's that reference a drummer in the building.

    Prayer in Lodge

As the currently serving Chaplain I have the opportunity to pray often. Being Christian I have some habits that I have to actively subdue. When praying in the lodge I generally use Lord and God. Supreme Architect is usually a little cumbersome for meal blessings.

The Shrine has now been "de-recognized" in Arkansas

I am a newbie in the sense that I have only been a MM for a year... That said, I have noticed something that seems to be troublesome for the future. Long time Masons, usually Past Masters, seem to use the phrase "un-Masonic behavior" and the variations of that phrase much too loosely. It...

    Poll: Masonic Member Retention

In my short time with Masonry I have found one key issue... The Lodge is completely inwardly focused. Whether that is manifested by infighting or political shenanigans, lack of purpose, lack of participation, etc... At the end of the day, most of the folks that bother to show up are just...

SECURITY BREECH (notice from W Br. Ronald D. Gerac, DDGM District 15-A MWPHGL of TX)

That mugshot is from my neck of the woods. With that unique of a name I will inquire with the brothers here to see if anyone knows him.

Born and raised a Tigers fan. Glad to have the Rangers doing well. Hope the Tigers can beat them tonight though.

    Dating and Age?

Ok, do I will take up an opposing view... At 32 I had very little in common with myself at 20. Now, at nearly 37 I can fellowship with someone that is 25... Have a relationship with depth enough to form the foundation for a lifetime? I'm not sure. In the end, only you and God know your heart...

    Contention in the Lodge

If I know there is a contention between two brothers in the lodge... better to go to each individually, or better to ask them to sit down with me? As an aside, these men are both in the craft a long time, much longer than me. Not sure if this makes a difference, but I am serving as Chaplin this...
