Freemasonry and agnosticisim
Agnosticism comes from the Greek word 'gnosis' which means 'knowledge.' Its purpose is to convey skepticism about humankind's knowledge of diety, not a denial of the existence of diety (which is atheism, as stated above). This is an important distinction.
