I am a Texan. My Maternal Grandmother was a Worthy Matron in the Order of the Eastern Star. While doing some research into my family history I learned that there was a somewhat rich tradition of Masonry among my Grandmother's antecedents. This is a large part of why I am registering here today.
It is my intention to petition for degrees in Masonry and carry on the tradition of my Grandmother's line.

My educational accomplishments are less than impressive yet I am a man who loves to learn. Most of my education has been attained through reading Classical Works.
I am very interested in Classical World Literature and also American Literature. History is fascinating to me as are some aspects of Natural Science.
I have an abiding interest in philosophy though I make no claims as to having any specialized knowledge of it.

For many years I have been interested in cinema appreciation and filmmaking. Most of the films I love are older and would be considered by many to be American Classics.
My tastes seem to run contrary to contemporary popular culture in a general sense.
I love the pictures of John Ford and John Wayne, of Howard Hawks, Terrence Malick, Samuel Fuller, Stanley Kubrick, John Huston and Sam Peckinpah - for example.
I have ambitions of writing novels. Music is something which is of constant interest to me as well.
