I was driving to the dollar general and I noticed the building across the street stated Blue Bonnet lodge No. 1219 A. F. & A. M on the front od the building but blending in. I have lived in san antonio since november and barely noticed this. What happen why did it move? If any body can answer that I was trying to google it but no answer but its a meat locker/ taxedermy.

The Grand Lodge of Texas lists Blue Bonnet #1219 at the following address: 122 Washington St, San Antonio 78204. Not familiar with San Antonio, but I would guess that the building you saw is an old location and the lodge has subsequently moved. They meet the second Monday of the month at 6:30 for a meal with the meeting to follow. Stop by, I'm sure some Brother can give you the whole story.

I am a member of Texas Lodge #8 and can attest to the fact that Bluebonnet started meeting in our building in about the mid 90s.

My understanding is this from many conversations with older masons in the San Antonio area when I resided there; lodge membership started declining, upkeep of building escalated, decision made to meet in another lodge building and cut expenses.

That from PGM John "Jack" Kelley and Br. Marshall Dodge, both of whom were members of that lodge.
