My heart goes out to everyone affected by Hurricane Sandy, with much sorrow.

Indeed. I have several friends that live in NYC and some of the surrounding areas. Luckily, it appears everyone is safe, but without power. My prayers are with those that weren't as fortunate.

I think it's dying down I'm about 6hr from new York and we were getting 120km winds and weren't even close to epicenter. My thoughts and prayers also go to all who've been effected, especially the homeless.

Is there a masonic service organization out there in the area that we can contribute to?

That would be wonderful to have a relief program to contribute to. Their is much to do. The families and the homeless, that were affected are in much need.
