Sorry for being so finicky but:
Well what actually happened in 1717 was the beginning of a quantum shift away from a system that was mainly for Operative Masons and accepted the odd non operative member which had nearly died out to a system of Fraternity with heavy philosophical overtones. Had...
Just to clarify the first GM of the Order of Women Freemasons was actually a man, his full name being William Frederick Cobb, the first lady GM succeded him in 1912 and she was Marion Halsey.
The Order was the result of a split away from the already establish Co-Masons (Le Droit Humaine)...
The thing to understand about coming to England is that the Appendant Bodies are quite separate and disticnt from Craft (note that we do not use the term "blue") Lodges.
To visit a Lodge here you need to carry convincing proofs of your status as a Master Mason (usually supplied on application...
There is a reason that the very specific term "Appendant" (tr. hanging from) is used to describe these Orders, bodies etc and that is they have all taken something from Freemasonry and used it to become their own entity, sadly today many don't realise this. They are not a part of Freemasonry but...

I don't know where you get your info but it is very wrong.
The Grand Orient of France was a normal, regular Grand Lodge until 1877 when it removed the requirement for its members to believe in God. Up to this point it had been in fraternal harmony with the UGLE having been formed by Lodges that...
Hi Anthony,
You need to make contact with your Lodge Secretary so that he can tell you which of the many Italian Grand Lodges/Orients that your own Grand Lodge recognises. Once you know the correct one you are at liberty to contact it (as you are physically within its jurisdiction) to enquire...
Isaih,
I will not engage with you any further.
As your postings have continued your true colours have shown and you are just a common or garden variety conspiracy theorist who has come onto a Masonic discussion forum with no intent to learn anything about Freemasonry but rather to try and...
