As it is in ours; the Holy Bible must be on the altar when Lodge is open. However, we can also have other VSLs in addition, and an initiate can specify a VSL other than the Holy Bible to take his obligations if he wishes.
If all your lodge is doing on stated communications is opening, paying the bills, and closing, you've got a problem. That's what kills lodges. I might stop showing up for that.
We meet twice a month; the first meeting of every month is for business AND lodge education, the second meeting is...
Does North Carolina NOT allow Mormons to become Masons? In Minnesota, the only religious qualification is being able to answer yes to "Do you have a sincere belief and trust in God?" End of discussion.
I'll take a shot at them:
1.) Does freemasonry study hermetic sciences? Some individual Masons do. I've done a little reading into it. Some Masonic authors see quite a bit of connection between Freemasonry and Hermeticism/alchemy, some dismiss it. However, if you expect to experience...
Since no one from California has answered, I'll take a shot. When you say "penal code," you're talking about criminal law. Unless there is actual domestic abuse occurring, criminal law is not involved in a situation like this.
It's not clear from your post; does your aunt want them out? If...

As far as not conducting a communication on Christmas Day, I'd be shocked if they did, and I doubt that very many brothers would show up. My lodge meets twice a month from September through June, with the exception of December, when we only meet once for that very reason. The WM was trying to...
Usually a daily rotation, but I always wear the 14° ring on Scottish Rite nights, and the black stone one is my "go-to" ring for general wear because it's the most identifiable.
I had a little trouble tracking it down, but I found it on eBay right now...
Ask and you shall receive:
These are all my Masonic rings. The two on the left are from Gordon, the third I got off eBay, and the furthest right is my Scottish Rite 14° ring. If you click on the picture it will go full screen so you can see detail better.
I have two different Gordon's rings; one a classic S&C on a black stone, the other a lodge ring. I'm happy with both, and would buy from him again in an instant.
Good timing on this thread, because I've recently been considering it. I obtained the rank of Master Sergeant (E-8) in the Army Reserves. My highest rank in the active Army was Sergeant E-5. I know the E-5 doesn't work, but does reserve rank? And what proof is needed? I never got a new DD214...
