What are your opinion on the widow sons club ?

I deal with the 62 GLs in the Conference of Grand Masters of NA and have presided over three international masonic bodies. In my experience, bylaws do not make that prohibition. Do you really take off your masonic ring in a bar? Could you quote the language from your bylaws, and identify the...

What are your opinion on the widow sons club ?

“The solution for the bikers would be to separate and start their own Lodge with or without approval of the Grand Lodge.” no, that is not the solution. Advising that some one violate their oblig is seldom the solution.

What are your opinion on the widow sons club ?

In my experience the culture of WS outside NA is different. They don’t appear as 1% Wannabes.

questions brothers ask and answer in public?

There is a difference between how one describes himself, particularly when they are a showman, and the labels others use. To the best of my knowledge, Fury has never qualified as a solicitor. It would not be the same standard. Given his incredible record, I don’t think I will challenge him as...

questions brothers ask and answer in public?

First, note that traveller was a joint designation with Gypsy, rather than Gypsy alone, and second, it was 11 years ago. My experience as a legal professional is that I could be subject to discipline for use of the term Gypsy. See also https://www.grammarphobia.com/blog/2019/03/gypsy.html...

    Or, more appropriately, Romani.

questions brothers ask and answer in public?

We are all still gaining knowledge. Some of us have had opportunities to broaden our knowledge base, but we are or should still be learning.

Well, we had wondered. :). I love ya brother!

questions brothers ask and answer in public?

I happily respond to “Hey, brother, where you hail from?” with either “Salt Lake 17” or “Lodge of Concord, Cheshire.” depending on where I am and the role I’m filling. I’ll then likely ask, “What’s your grand lodge? You tell me. I shake your hand, and introduce my wife if she’s with me. As...

questions brothers ask and answer in public?

Right. And how do you determine that? Not all of us have dues cards. Clandestine masons have dues cards. You didn't address what "deeper" information you would discuss in public.

questions brothers ask and answer in public?

hmm. I don think you addressed any of the points: how do you determine they are on the square, “legally.” And what “deeper” information would you discuss on the street?

questions brothers ask and answer in public?

Aye, those sly cunning Scots with their tricky questions.

questions brothers ask and answer in public?

Thanks. That leaves three problems: Not all GLs have dues cards. Clandestine masons have dues cards. One shouldn’t be surprised if they get a laugh unless requesting to see a dues card when being examined to sit in lodge, particularly if asking a senior mason to prove his status outside of lodge.
