This is exactly my reference in posts #20 and 25, as practiced by the GLoTexas.
Before any Lodge is open there is no order other than social. The WM gavels and initiates proceedings through which stations, places, and duties become identified, and others vouched.
My Texas Monitor of the Lodge doesn't say much but does define Station as 'a place where a person or thing usually stnads or is; an assigned location.'
I would take it then that the other Officers have a place, as in no (somewhat) immovable landmark that denotes where they may always be found.
Thanks for that. It's the way I had it. Sometimes I practice forgetting so when the fateful day comes I won't remember.
Now let's see, where was that mouse...
Are they going to tear it down or just close off parts? It is kind of large to be as inactive as it is most of the year. I get info about re-doing the museum (as I recall) but not sure I remember shrinking the building.
To follow up on a couple of posts by Brothers stating that they 'bought their own apron'. I would find that curious as in my Lodge a newly raised brother is presented his own burial apron on the night he is raised. Mine being all white with no markings, and outlined with satin ribbon and...
I'm going for cremation so my apron will need 'a convenient pocket' in which to deposit my earthly remains. And maybe a hammer and chisel to build my new home...
...somewhere out there
I'll recite it verbatim. Most will respond, 'That's the way they have it'. Before doing so I'll tell them I'll be glad to examine but only if I can see their furniture first.
Greetings Dutch Brothers from Texas Mason. I'm not in The Netherlands but have visited in '98 and '03, both for Queen's Day. Really like your country and always root for the Dutch in the Olympics. Also spent some time bicycling around Leiden, Den Haag, and Alphen aan den Rijn. Was headed to...
Just out of a not determined curiosity I visited the IMDB page for the movie. Impressed with the all star cast, I'll try one day soon to see if I can find it somewhere to watch online. Especially to see Oprah land a smack in the face of that guy. However, while at the IMDB site I found the...
The key here is that you drive a lot.... If you know only the first answer to the first question you can practice that while driving. Establish rhythm, volume, voice control, mastery. After you've convinced yourself you know that well enough then learn Q/A#2. Then practice both, everyday...
Exactly what I was thinking, look into DeMolay. Check with t. John's Lodge No. 1 to see if they have a local chapter. And while your at it, inquire with the Lodge if they have any Open Meetings, even if just an Officer installation ceremony. Usually the public is welcome to an installation...
There has been an edit function and I have used it. Seems as though some couple or few months ago there was a forum application problem, which was resolved same day. However, the edit function was no longer available.
I'm not far from Ft. Hood. First, I'd ask with reference to 'finding a place', as in to live or to Lodge?
You can search the Grand Lodge of Texas, and search for 'County', type in 'Bell'. Hood is near/next to Killeen. Lot's of military commute to Belton, Temple, or even south to Georgetown...
