Today I turned one year old Masonically. In the past year, I've been taken and accepted by Brothers at my home Lodge, I've met many Brothers in my job and as well in public, I've been sneered at for being a Mason by people who don't know anything about Freemasonry, and I've enjoyed every moment...
I kinda think the lodge should pick either the short or long form and stick with it. When I was first raised, I got confused with the short and long forms. Maybe it's just me.
Ok. I really appreciate the information. My daughter spotted the square and compass that were representing the letter A in Fate of the book's title in Half Priced Books, "I found a Mason book, Daddy!" So, I got it to make her happy. Thanx guys!
Hey guys, have any of you read the aforementioned book?
The back of the book says, "Six minutes from now, one of us would be dead. None of us knew it was coming. So says Wes Holloway, a young presidential aide, about the day he put Ron Boyle, the chief executive's oldest friend, into the...
Hey Brothers,
Did you guys see this about Masonic license plates?
Texas Masonic License Plates:
THE TEXAS MASONIC LICENSE PLATE is scheduled to go on to the web for
public comment later this month (probably January 21-31). It will only be
there for comment for only 10 days. The Department...
Thanx everyone! Good luck to you, mch! I had the opportunity to cast my first vote last night on an EA petition. He'll be initiated on Monday night. That'll be neat to see since there haven't been any degrees in this district since I started in June.
I'm happier than a pig in slop! I passed my Master's exam at our stated meeting last night and I got my official dues card from GL!
There's one thing that Freemasonry has taught me thus far, and that's self-confidence. Every time we'd start working on my memory work I'd think to myself...
Alright. I was raised last night and, WHOA BOY! I was assured by my friend/instructor and by you guys that the MM would blow my mind and yes indeedy it sure did! I had an awesome time! YABBA DABBA DOO!
Oh, the Secretary told us that as of September (15?) GLoT now requires all new MM's have to complete an A.L.L. (Additional Lodge Lights) program in addition to the memory work within 90 days. No one knew what this ALL program was. The Sec'y said he'd look into it. Do you guys know? Thanx again
Thanx y'all! I thought the FC degree was awesome and my friend/instructor told me that the MM degree will blow my mind. Yes Sir, this week will be like being six years old again and waiting for Santa Clause!
Well brothers, I successfully completed my FC proficiency exam tonight (might-near flawlessly) and my MM raising is scheduled for the 28th. I can't wait! ...and yes, I have clean underwear handy...lol!
