It is indeed a problem. About a month ago, I was emailing back an forth with members of the GL internet committee. You may have noticed when you signed up for emails on the GL website, there was a mention specifically about issues with Verizon...which happens to be my provider...
Unfortunately, it was something that I was not taught. I am aware of it and have had it on my list of things to do in the very near future.
