Gotcha... that's where I got mine, too. Looking for a daily wear one like yours. Am wearing mine daily but it is a bit fragile (from 1940's) and I am worried about cracking the stone... Thanks though!
I really like the look of your 'daily' ring. Can you tell me more about it? Where it's from? I am looking for a 'cigar band' style ring but don't like the ones that are all enameled.
Thanks!
There are obviously rules to the 'recycling' of Lodge numbers/names... while I don't have the whole list of items one of them is that there cannot be any living members of the Lodge in question. Since our Lodge is coming up on ~90+ years of being inactive the odds are fairly good that there are...
Do try to come out! I've not seen the Lodge room as it's still under construction/renovation and is completely blocked-off from the TMRC world... I guess they don't need many dozen extra supervisors... :w00t:
Thanks for the replies Brethren! The dues are looking to be $25 + per capita (currently set at $25) for a total of $50 annually. They are going to be inexpensive as they have no bills to pay and such.
The plan is to be a regular working Lodge meeting monthly - most likely on Saturday...
Brethren,
Dangit!! I wish I had thought of telling you all sooner but we are chartering a new-ish Lodge in Arlington, TX! If you'd like to be a Charter Member then you'll need to hustle and go here to get your application: www.sweethomelodge.org/
I believe that the cut-off for a Charter...
One thing to keep in mind... While you are learning the questions and answers be sure to try and understand the what and why. Just parroting the answers back is enough to get by but you're not getting the experience, symbolism, etc.
Take your time and immerse yourself in the dialog, use of...
I wear mine on my right hand ring finger. Wedding band on my left hand.
Never heard of a ring traditionally worn on the middle finger... interesting.
The rumor back in the day (before deeper medical knowledge and science) was that there was a vein in the ring fingers leading straight to the...
You can get your ring size checked at any mall jeweler or jeweler in general. As far as eBay - try and get a ring within 1 to 1.5 sizes of your own then take it to a jeweler to get properly sized. Inexpensive and pretty quick. As an aside if you buy a 10K ring you need to find a jeweler that...
Thank you Brother Hill! I am currently evaluating the software listed above and have had a number of emails with the developer on a few items. Other than that it looks like it might be a very viable option.
Thanks for the lead!
I was able to find a couple of guys to do my memory work with during my lunch hour which worked out very well. Many of the instructors will work with your schedule. I went from EA to MM in about 5 months. The EA is the longest by far.. The FC was the shortest... at least for me. Really learn...
Here is mine... made with 1940's Birdseye turquoise in a 10 carat ring with the plumb and trowel adorning the sides. No family history for this piece - was just looking for something unique.

Greetings Brethren,
Not sure if this topic is in the correct place or not? I am trying to get a feeling as to which software solution(s) your Lodge uses for general membership, GL database reconciliation, dues entry, degree history, mailing list/merge, etc.?
We are trying to modernize from an...
