Fail or drop?

I am currently in college, I want to earn a bachelors degree in accounting. Any brethren with a degree fail or dropped a class? Or even felt discouraged? How did you stay on top of it all? Any useful tips or advice to offer to be a competitive student and be on top of your game?

Thanks, Brothers SMIB

Stay ahead of the game: you spend a small fortune on your text books, might as well read it. The syllabus usually tells you what units will be covered so take advantage of that and read up beforehand.

Most importantly though, be persistent.

Always drop over a fail if you suspect you cannot commit the time to a class. An F will haunt you all your days to be sure.

Sorry, I missed part of the question in the OP. Ya always drop if you think you're going to fail if it's allowed. Certain grants/scholarships may no longer be accessible if you fail a certain percent of your classes but dropping is (usually) acceptable. It's also better for your GPA.

Dropping is preferable to an F, but federal grants/loans also require that you maintain a certain "completion rate" which drops count against. Check with your financial aid office on that topic.

Double down and pass! Look at your peers who take on the challenges and pass. If they can, you can
