The Extreme Ice Survey documentary, James Balog

In this information age, we all have a tendency to only look for data that supports our underlying convictions and beliefs. That is not good scientific method, but it is a way for one to be presumptive of not putting ones head in the sand. That the glaciers are melting is known, that the ice cores show historic CO2 content is understood, and that human impact is real is generally accepted.

The pace of change on the earth is the question, and the ebb and flow of natures ways is open to debate. James Balog's documentary "CHASING ICE" released in 2012 is a time lapse photographic journey into the great polar ice regions. If you have an open mind, and are more interested in fact than in a position, and if you enjoy great photos you will enjoy this 75 minute documentary available from Netflix.​
