Correctional Officer, WV Division of Corrections, Shift Commander (Retired).
Meant to ask... did you ever serve at Moundsville? (or under Bordenkircher?) I think the riots took place in 86. Just wondering.

I did! Back in the 80s. Borderkircher was the Warden and his son, Chris, was a officer. He later resigned to run for Sheriff of Marshal County. I left before the riot occured.

Sir, I give you props! I have been in Moundsville several times (never as a guest lol) and that place made several horror movies I've seen look like candy land.

I t was spooky place and reportedly haunted while it was still open, lol.

31 year Police officer here, started in 85 in Broward Co. Florida. After 12 years there, I went to Los Angeles County SO and worked patrol there until I retired. Wife and I moved to my present location. I got bored and went back to working here for the Sheriff's office. My wife is a retired Game Warden, who now teaches High School.
