    Connecting Young Freemasons

My question regarding the proposed group: What might this group do differently to set itself apart as a group for younger masons? And that said, of these activities/goals, how many could be effectively be integrated into your regular blue lodge? How many couldn't happen in your blue lodge and...

    Shiner Bock- Ruby Redbird

I loved the Smokehouse flavor when it was going. A lot of people didn't like it, but I thought it was incredible. Otherwise, just regular Bock, though I haven't tried black at all. (Or the new Ruby Redbird mentioned above.)

    Pipe Smokers?

I enjoy a pipe socially with my college buddies, maybe three or four times a year. I've wanted to get a Masonic pipe like the above, but I'm not paying $200.00 for it, especially since I smoke so rarely. Get it close to $75 or less, and I'm sold. I don't have any specific blend I prefer...

Face Book Pages and Grand Lodge

Personally, I don't know of any other than, "Keep esoteric information off the page." Just be smart about it. I think its one of those things Grand Lodge hasn't really addressed yet, where technology has outpaced regulations. If anyone else knows more than I do, feel free to share.

    How much do you pay?

Contrarily, there's also a lot of talk about perceived value. If I'm only paying $40.00 for a degree, my perceived value is a lot lower than if I'm paying $100.00. It's actually similar to universities. I heard a recent interview on NPR about this. Many private universities have a much higher...

    How much do you pay?

$65/year. I don't remember what the degrees are offhand, but they're all under $100. Too low if you ask me.

    Awesome Freemason Video

Man, if my York Rite meetings were anything like the second video, I'd have to get battle ready before going!

    Reading of minutes and correspondance

I said tops, as in it usually takes much less time. It would also be accurate for me to say our stated meetings take two hours tops. But don't think they all take two hours. Our stated meetings usually only take 45 minutes. In fact, the vast majority of meetings are done in under an hour. Only...

    Reading of minutes and correspondance

I know its meant in jest, but if an adult can't sit still for ten minutes... I worry.

    Reading of minutes and correspondance

We always read the minutes, but it never takes more than ten minutes tops, maybe fifteen if we've had a couple meetings between the last reading of the minutes. If it's taking more, perhaps your secretary is being a bit too detailed? Minutes are supposed to be pretty broad. Regarding Grand...

    History of Freemasonry

Well, it definitely existed before that. The lodges simply became public in (I believe it was) 1717. Before that, Freemasonry had been a 'secret society'. No one doubts it existed before that. But because of its relatively secretive nature before that, remaining records of its origins are...
