    A Living Mason

Very good one, right here. Thanks.

    Self Introduction

Congrats on that first step. I waited almost 10 years, finding new ways to almost talk myself out of it. It was a foolish thing to do but we find our way, given time. I also second reading as much M.P. Hall writings on Freemasonry-he was a man of rare depth and understanding. Also, I have found...

John Dee didn't really show much to the world. I mean, he was obviously an enlightened and talented man. But, if I recall correctly (and do please forgive me if I am wrong here), most of the magical treatises and tomes attributed to him have been shown to be not from him. Not doubting their...

    Does Masonry cause Marital conflicts???

In California, our candidate's initial interviews are recommended w/ spouses involved. Was this not the case with your Lodge?

Ethics of our Fathers Chapter 5 Intro

I do agree, we all need to look deeper. No offense intended.

Ethics of our Fathers Chapter 5 Intro

I have seen no such section here. This must be due to the app. I've seen no "Philosophy-Religion-Spirituality section" on here. This came up under 'newest' in the app. This seemed another thinly-veiled Bible lesson disguised as pertaining to Masonry. My apologies.

Facebook page for Duncan Lodge #60

Kudos for the work you've done. It's always good to see Lodge's seeking a positive online presence. I chose my Lodge to visit first before I joined because they were the only one in my area with any website. Now, thankfully, there are many more. Please do keep up the good work.

    Being A Mason

"It also show word do have meaning and we have to think about them before saying them." or typing them, it would seem. This is why politics are strictly verboten in Lodge.

    Being A Mason

I really hope I misread that. I hope being a Mason means that we are men who are always striving to be better men, using the tools of the builder as our guides and men who share an obligation to one another and their families and these bring writ large - to the rest of the world as well.

Obama? Are you serious with that?

'The Moronic Lodge' screamed out at me, as well. Here's to hoping it's an auto-correct issue and not an estimation.

    Greetings Brothers

I really do wish there were an iPhone app for California Masonry that was analaogous to this one. My Texan brethren have got it going well and I am grateful for Masonic talk and the warm welcome that I've received here.

are pha lodges considered blue lodges?

I am not aware of any negativity here as it regards Prince Hall Masonry. I hope it has been properly dealt with, we ARE brothers, after all.

We do. How could you not? :)

are pha lodges considered blue lodges?

It's always been my understanding (and I could be mistaken) that a 'Blue Lodge' is where you would go for for your first 3 degrees and it's usually your home lodge, as well. Further degrees are available via appendant bodies, after you have been raised to the Sublime Degree of Master Mason. But...

just passed my EA Proficiency tonight!

That's one of the reasons I always enjoy watching any new member go through the degrees. It always takes me back to when that person was me.
