The sad thing is that it takes an obscene amount of money to conduct a campaign nowadays. If you don't have the contacts or sell your soul to get the cash, you don't have a prayer of getting elected. :(

Orginally I pulled Reid and Dodd however I decided that they were not from Texas so it wouldn't be fair to compare. So I pulled the first two Texas Democrats that came to mind. What suprised me is the spread between individual contributions and PAC contributions. Holy smokes why do we even allow PACs' to donate? Shouldn't the people be responsible and not specific groups for donating money. Seriously Hutchinson and Cornyn collects 4 million from PACs'.

The real trick is to see how your congress critter voted on issues effecting those heavy donors...

Yeah but in TX they don't record the votes on a state level. They say it is too hard but as Brother Blake posted awhile back the You Tube search of Texas Legislature shows a different story as to why.

Yeah in Texas it is a scramble as to who can vote for who on the floor. ARRG They need to change that.

yes they do need to but its too hard... hard to lie about what you did when its documented. Sometimes the Facts Suck!
