Are the rumors true? That masons hate blacks, gays, woman? And the sort? I see a lot of support comming from each other. A serious brotherhood. Its touching, its inspiring, but is it true that this is an exclusive society? Im not intending to offend anyone by ANY means. I just figured it couldnt hurt to ask.

Wow! you aren't past using a hornets nest as a piñata are you? (LOL)

Let’s see, no, no, no and no.

Does that answer your questions? I realise there are plenty of resources out there that denigrate the institution of Masonry as a whole but you may want to reconsider your sources on those issues. The only correct statements from the quote above are; Yes we are a serious brotherhood and we are an exclusive society, if one measures the requirements and the acceptance criteria for admission into our fraternity.

To start out we (Freemasons) don't hate ANYONE! with that being said 1. There are many black freemasons they are known as PHA Masons. 2. Gays I have no problem with them personally and if that's the kind of lifestyle they want to live so be it (do I agree with the lifestyle no) just don't try to push it on people that are not that way! 3. Women.... We are a Fraternity not a sorority! In some states and countries (very few) I know there are some coed masons! But one thing we do have is the Order of the Eastern Star or O.E.S. Which is appendage organization for women of Freemasons. and to your last part of the question are we a exclusive society to some extent yes. We don't let anybody in just as like any other fraternity or sorority. when someone petitions a lodge we investigate that person to see if He is a good cannadate to become a Mason! We don't want people in our brotherhood that will try to destroy or hurt our organization or the people in it! Does this mean that you have to be a saint to become a mason NO not at all we have all made some mistakes in life! And to be honest with you the only real secret in masonry is to "take good Men and make them better"

I hope this answers your questions and if any of my brethren would like to add to this please feel free!

And one last thing if any of these "rumors" were true I personally would have NOTHING TO DO WITH Mssonry and I'm quite sure many of the brothers out there would say the same thing!

Masons are pretty much like everyone else. They've heard this crap before!

Thanks bro Bill. Too, there is at least one white fellow I know of who is, singularly, a member of Prince Hall.

Masonry is not, nor should it be, race exclusive.

I realize that statement may require quite a bit of "pipe smoking," but it's masonically sound logic. If anyone thinks not, they should go back over their obligations. Then get that pipe out.

Growth, occasionally, may be uncomfortable.
