Not all lodges on base are PHA. I was stationed in Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. I was raised Kentucky, and visited Semper Fi lodge 680 in Jacksonville NC while I was stationed there. Just look up the base an see if they have a lodge on base or in town outside of base.

I joined York Rite bout a year after being raised, Eastern Star year after that so my wife could be with me then Scottish Rite fours years after being raised. I enjoy everything, but Symbolic Lodge and KT is were my heart lead me.
I know of no reason why the Grand Matron would be asking you questions. The Order of Eastern Star is a seperate organization from symbolic lodge. And were ever you are from the Eastern Star will have there own by laws that they will follow. I to am interested in learning were your from!
Do you tell other masonic bodies with restrictions on memberships the same thing, ect Knight Masons, AMD, KYCH all groups have differant restrictions? I got out of the marines E-3 Lance Cpl, I don't hate the Soujouners.
Its almost like a research lodge. We meet twice a year do a degree and one of the more enlightened members does a lecture about the degree. Its not a formal lecture but one that he has wriiten himself. Hope that gives you a little info.

I am a Catholic and a Freemason. I belong to the KofC and to the york and scottish rite. Never had any problems. I love my faith and Masonry. If I had to choose I would stay a Mason though. Pray and seek light is all I can say.
