On another note I obtained a copy long ago of the ritual for LA "Red Lodges" on paper and just reading it blew my mind so i would be very happy if I could go to one.
not sure if I am speaking out of turn but I believe for a Texas Mason "Red Lodges" are considered clandestine and are forbidden. Maybe it was an edict that has expired but I believe Gene Carnes's year they were outlawed. Again I am not sure of this but I would ask a well informed brother who...
More power to them if they encourage their members to practice our tenets. Sounds like we are having babies!! it is only natural that our craft evolve to fit all. Although it may be a "fake" in terms of our laws but it seems to me if they are good people and promote good then it abibes by a...
Wow Bryan that was some hard work bro nice paper.
Education is the cure if a cure is needed. To me we have wondered so far from creating an enviroment that promulgates our zeal for knowledge that most think we are a charity. The men coming to 148 are hungry for self improvement and Masonry...
The EA charges covers attempting to defend the craft and how we should not waste our zeal on ignorance. The anti masonry movement is one fo the best things for Masonry IMHO. Not only have most of these folks done stellar research if you can untwist their facts they also discourage ingnorance...
If Iam not mistaken in Texas, decorated aprons are not in accordance with GL law. I believe only officers and PM can have anything on their aprons and they are limited to the insigna of their office or position.
That is not to say some Texas Brothers do not have one.
I found this link with some good info on the PHA Fraternity and details on visiting their museum.

Change is never easy but it is the one constant of life. Give it time brothers this is a huge shift in social phyche and will not come easy but it will come so keep up the good fight. I have great faith in our Fratenal Relations Com. here in Texas and the Texas Prince Hall Brothers that we...
Although it used to be a hot trend, newer GMs in TX seem reluctant about resurecting old lodges because it seems to find its way to trouble one way or another. I remeber at Grand Lodge a faction of people upset because a resurected lodge had changed the name of the lodge. Talk about picking...
Not that I would ever claim to know another persons mind but when I was younger my Dad used to give me such a hard time making me clean up my room, do my homework, don't be a smart a$$, I mean come on what a jerk and on top of that he would WHOOP my butt if I did not follow his directives which...
It seems logical that when the bible as we know it was created that "they" would not be able to include every sacred text
only what "they" believed the best would be included for a number of reasons I am sure least of all not to end up with a massive book or multi-volume set. Think of it in...
That speech gave me the goose bumps because he spoke with such conviction as well, a moment at GL I will not soon forget thanks for posting Brother Bill.
