    Restoring an Apron

I live in Illinois. And it was a shop near st.louis, mo. They couldn't give me any information, because it was bought in bulk with other items. I have tried dating it, with no luck, or if it is European or American.

COVID: UGLE Suspends Masonic Meetings in England Again

I really hope our grand lodges here have the common sense to close ours again till we can gain some kind of control. Southern Illinois is at 10.1.

    Shriners Statue in Connecticut Vandalized

You just cant fix stupid now a days. This is why I am losing faith in mankind as these months have gone by. I'm sure the generation before them had taught them morals, values, right from wrong and respect. As a newly raised brother an I talked, he had pointed out all the bad things Mason's are...

We have lost 5 lodges already here in southern Illinois , merging with another lodge or several others. It's a sad state. But we will endure.

I rescued this gem from a second hand shop almost 5 years ago. There was no information on its origin, or owner. It's not in bad shape, but it's not in the best shape either. I at one time wanted to have it restored, but decided not to. If anyone has any information on this apron , like era...

Grand Lodge directive to violate Masonic Law

I totally agree. But it's a fight, that we are witnessing here in southern Illinois. Our grand master states that the WM that obligates wear a mask, gloves, and that the bible is wrapped in Saran Wrap. And that the SD also wear gloves. But we have district deputies that refuse to reinforce...

What can we do ? What should we do?

And I thought Texas was out there. But there have been a couple of lodges here that have not gone by the guide lines set by G.L. it's a mess and our area district deputies just make things worse by not enforcing anything.

Has the time come to reach out and ask for new members?

I dont see a reason not to. But just remember, be careful on who you invite, because if they really aren't who they seem, it is very hard for some reason to get them out.

    Suspension for NPD in Virginia

No, I'm pretty sure you got it right. At my lodge we try to figure out what the problem is with a brother and why they hadn't paid the new dues. If you haven't paid the new year dues, plus the following without any communications. We will suspend until a payment is made.

    Toleration and Freemasonry

If everyone isn't at least having fun, and being respectful, then it's time to hang it up. But there are those who act like children to see how far you can push the envelope. Those I will just avoid. Sooner or later they get the hint.

    A Progressive in Conservative land

Follow the 2 golden rules while in lodge. NO politics NO religion follow these 2 rules when you walk into the lodge room, and you cant go wrong. What happens outside of the lodge is a different story.

What can we do ? What should we do?

The lodge I was raised in and my lodge I'm in now, have and will continue to help fund our local food banks during this time of need. We have discussed that even when this is over, the need will remain, and we can and will help our less fortunate as much as we can.

    Foosball, pool tables, and televisions.

I understand, I have several tattoos, plus a sleeve, and my ear is pierced 4as and I have my bottom lip pierced. My hair isn't as long as it was when I first started. My hobbies are a bit off. But am accepted by most, and not by a lot. But that doesn't keep me from having fun at my own...

Ok, I think I got this all figured out, after reading the article. Now, all theories and opinions are welcomed on the subject. So, this is my theory on the the subject. Since we can not determine the true whereabouts freemasonry originally started, but see the biggest influence is from...
