I found out that in Victoria (Australia) that you need to be a mason for 12 months before you can become a Master Mason.

We have a 30 minute TV broadcast on local TV here in Melbourne Australia each Monday night. They cover a few different things each week including historic relics, regalia & interviews with EA's, FC's, MM's and all of the staff at the Grand Lodge.

Today I visited the GL of Melbourne where I was interviewed. The whole process took an hour and I have a strong feeling that my application will be accepted officially on a day or two. Unofficially I was told that it should not be a problem at all.
