You only need to look on the outside of any lodge to see symbols. GL websites have a few and their meanings. In Melbourne, we have a 30 minute/weekly TV show from FreeMasons Victoria and they discuss the meanings of many of the symbols.
From what I know, yes as the outsider, is that the stigma...
Reading books does not equate to a Master Mason - you need to progress through the 1st, 2nd & 3rd through a recognized Lodge.
You CANNOT be a 3rd degree Master Mason without already completing the rituals for each degree.
These rituals MUST be conducted in a recognized Lodge and your cavern in...
That's why I referred to you telling him what it takes to be a mason man. Point out all the important factors.
He should then, by default examine himself and see his own flaws when it comes to negative attitudes.
When one is "self convicted" he can then make the right steps to change.
If...
Wow, tough one facing you. Honesty does not need to hurt and can be done in a loving way.
Maybe talk to him about the basics of what makes for a mason man as I'm sure he'd be open to hear about things. Explain what it means to you and to others (general) and that before a man can petition, he...
Alex make a very nice income from his "truth" exposing fear campaigns.
You believe what you want, but if Alex was true to himself he would have discovered the truth and not made up his own version.
He milks those that get too involved in conspiracy theories and most of the stuff on his many...
Back in the day, there were many structures like this and could have belonged to anyone. From what I understood is that nothing has been found to relate this latest dig to King David yet.
Still, it's amazing that they still find this stuff after centuries :)
Awesome. I am in the same position but I have a 3 month wait for the vote and then 1 month after that for initiation. Oh it's going to be a LONG 4 months for me.
The Internet is full of opinions and misinformation. Those that create those videos and blogs have made their own assumptions based on reading everyone else's. Their is only 1 truth and there is only 1 way to get it and that is by joining a Lodge and becoming a Mason yourself.
You won't find...
We have a 30 minute TV broadcast on local TV here in Melbourne Australia each Monday night.
They cover a few different things each week including historic relics, regalia & interviews with EA's, FC's, MM's and all of the staff at the Grand Lodge.
Today I visited the GL of Melbourne where I was interviewed.
The whole process took an hour and I have a strong feeling that my application will be accepted officially on a day or two.
Unofficially I was told that it should not be a problem at all.
I can only imagine how frustrating this must be for you.
As an "outsider looking in" I see that Freemasonry is very much about one's freedom to choose his own path, teaching and belief. Yes, Mason's MUST believe in a supreme being, the great architect of the universe and all that is in it, but...
Here is a nice piece written about the single reference to "Lucifer" in the entire bible Bible (Isaiah 14:12)
The word Satan on the other hand, is mentioned 56 times (55 as Satan and once as Satan's)
The Bible also refers to Satan/Devil/Enemy a total of 143 times and in the 143 times, he is...
The funny thing about that picture is that it's been found to have NOTHING to do with this imaginary elite group. The picture was found to have come out of a B grade movie from the 90's (can't recall the one) but looking at the picture you can see no one in it.
Oh and the owl is also featured...
Firstly, the Internet is 99% false when it comes to freemasonry. Every post, video, document all contradict each other and none of it is true. People love a good conspiracy and you are creating your own based solely on the hundreds of things you have read that are also someone else's theory...
Re: Online Freemasonry
Moad, if you want to know more, it's best to join a local Lodge. They should be more than happy to hear from you and assist in your application.
