    Hello from Carrollton, TX

My EA was tonight and all I can say is WOW!!! One of the other brothers likened it to "drinking from a firehose" and I think that just about nails it. Does anyone know of an EA degree going on soon in the DFW area? I would love to observe one to let some more of it soak in.

"image" is the key word here I'll put it in another context that might be a little easier to understand. I am a teacher. I represent the teaching profession at school AND outside school. If I want to maintain the trust and confidence of the community and my students, I must always act...

    What browser?

I've liked using Firefox because I can run it on my work pc and home mac and I get the same "experience" However, Firefox has started to become a resource hog (seems there is a memory leak) and I may be switching to Chrome. Does webkit run on a Mac?

    Waiting for Superman

I have not seen Waiting for Superman, but did watch the Oprah special on it. I am also a teacher. My main comment is that there is a huge difference between the school systems in the north east and Texas. I'm not suggesting that Texas schools are perfect, but they are a different beast and...

    Genesis as allegory?

Does full enlightenment mean that we "know" everything? otherwise I have always felt that knowledge begat curiosity. As my 8th grade science teacher put it, "the more you know, the more you don't know". Meaning your level of knowledge always opens the window to expand upon. And if there is...

    Lodges and CHL

CHL is the common Texas term. I think other states may use CCW (Concealed Carry Weapon permit). The Texas class is 10hrs long and you have to submit 2 fingerprint cards, one for the state and one for the feds.

    Lodges and CHL

I have noticed that there are many lodges that hold CHL classes as fundraisers. From this I gather that many lodges are "pro-chl" My question is, what is the consensus on actually carrying in the Lodge? Would there be any instances that might be "compromising"? I'm asking so that I don't make...

    Blackberry Glazed Baby Back Ribs

I just smoked a rack of ribs for "The Big Game". I'm new to it and have only tried dry rubs. I'll have to try the blackberry glaze next time. Any suggestion on how to tweak the process to work in a smoker?

HELLO BROTHERS! Any Advice on DENTON TEXAS?

You should definitely swing by Rudy's BBQ while you are there. My wife and I ate at Rudy's all the time when we were at Texas Tech in Lubbock. Now we drive 30 minutes to eat at the one in Denton.

Dual/plural memberships. Should Masons be able to join multiple lodges?

What is the benefit of only allowing membership to 1 lodge? I assume it is to make sure each member is fully active in his home lodge.
