Questions to all Lodges and members.

I'd have to agree with the previous comments. Personally I'd say that if a Lodge cannot fill the Officers' posts it has come to the end of the line and the remaining members should be winding it up and looking for a new Lodge to join preferably en masse.

After 29 years of being Mason in-name-only, I am publicly dropping the bomb

Quite a bit for "socials" and "Lodges of Instruction/Practice" but more importantly we also visit other Lodges and many English Freemasons are members of multiple Lodges sometimes in various Provinces.

You can tell that's from Lancashire because they choose to ignore the old Lodge at York which declared itself a Grand Lodge in 1725 and was knocking about until the early 1790 as well as the Grand Lodge of All England South of the River Trent of William Preston fame in 1779. The thing to be...

The difficulty is that if you feel the Antients need to be mentioned what about the Grand Lodge of all England at York To be frank if you actually want to be this pedantic, it is an impossible elevator pitch because you're all missing out too much information. There had actually been six grand...

Take out the name of the Pub and you're there: "The Premier Grand Lodge, which became the United Grand Lodge of England, was founded in London in 1717".

    some one asked

I'm not sure why you're making that response to me, I'm very aware of the history and development of my Grand Lodge but more importantly I did not make reference to the UGLE anywhere in my reply??? Did you just not actually read my reply?

    some one asked

The Grand Lodge of London and Westminster was constituted (not chartered) or formed in 1717 and charters and warrants for Lodges didn't exist back then, they developed as the Grand Lodge system itself developed and spread around the world. What you might be thinking about is "recognition" of...

Addressing fellow Masons in an email

As mentioned it depends on the purpose of the email and who you are writing as.

Hello my brothers the free builders

As far as can be seen the Regular Grand Lodge of the Kingdom of Morocco does not have a website so you will need to find a postal address that you can send a letter to in order to introduce yourself.

    "Encouraging" a potential brother

I would say while you're out socialising and chatting, as we all do with our friends, insert a mention of your own membership into the conversation and be led by his reaction to it.

    From Ghana.

You can contact the Grand Lodge of Ghana through either Twitter or Facebook, there appears to be a problem accessing its website at the moment.

Gently nudging a prospect to join

It has moved to page 40 of the current (2021) edition.

How to contact my nearest lodge grandmaster

Please do not expect a fast response, there are some things that you need to be aware of and the first is that this is not going to be a quick process for you as you don't know a Freemason to ask about joining his Lodge so any Lodge will want to take time to get to know you to be certain that...

The meaning of being a freemason?

Having looked at your profile I can see that it would be pretty difficult for you to join as Freemasonry in your country is nearly non-existent. In many Muslim majority countries Freemasons are ostracised and Freemasonry has been banned by the State, while we Freemasons cannot understand why...

The meaning of being a freemason?

Usually it happens because a man knows and socialises or works with a Freemason and they like what they observe about that Freemason's interactions with others or what they hear about Lodge activities and ask to join the Lodge themselves.

    Masonry Ring

To find out if your own Grand Lodge has any rules about the wearing of masonic themed jewellery you will need to talk to the Secretary of your own Lodge.

    Masonic Lawyers

That seems a terrible idea. You should choose the best Lawyer you can afford, with this approach you're saying that you don't want a woman Lawyer who might be better than a Freemason.
