D4rr3n,
You are doing the right thing by waiting to hear and learn about the E.A. Listen clearly and everything will come to light. If you have to sit on your hands to avoid searching these "internets" then do so!

As I said before on another thread say hello to "old Billy" when you see him! Yet enjoy this journey! On the night of your EA just listen and observe.

In some states there exist recognition between the two. In others recognition and visitation. While in a few there is no recognition. So it depends on the state.

Nfasson,
As a newly raised Prince Hall MM I am young but even through my initiation, passing, and even petitioning I heard the pro's and con's of merging. Consider we as Prince Hall Affiliated Masons have such a deep rich history to walk away to merge we would loose some that history. So to...
The Mason Bar in Dallas used to be a church, then was used by the Metropolitan Lodge of Dallas many years ago before it became a bar/restaurant. I don't when the building was no longer used for a lodge. I haven't been yet, but I hear it is a nice spot in Dallas. One of my brothers said that...
PLA from what I understand it depends on the lodge. Now you might experience bits of it in your initiation and passing. Ultimately, know your cipher or lecture, well you know that already. LOL. All I'm saying just don't add anything that you were not taught. Bottom line avoid going places that...
Be cool my brother and don't even begin to think about the FC passing. The amount of info is immense. Even now as I reread the lectures and rituals as a MM I'm still awestruck at what there is to learn.
PLAH3 That's funny! When we did our 2nd proficiency it was less help and I was the captain of the cable tow so I would throw a word out here and there. Sometimes the PMs and WM would look like, "I know y'all didn't just miss a word!"
LastKing, don't worry about the wording that trips you up. When we were doing our proficiency there was always the SW or a willing PM who jumped in with a word here are there to help. In fact during our FC proficiency we would begin to answer and someone would say, "I'm satisfied, move on!"
I'm assuming you are doing your proficiency today and passing also. Just take deep breath and recite the lecture throughout this day. Hopefully your coach has prepped you well. Enjoy the FC passing tonight!
Re: Looking forward to my Entered Apprentice Degre
Babyjo, congrats on the FC, there is a lot to learn but take it a small bite at a time. Enjoy your journey as a FC, you are one step closer to MM.
It is impossible to describe with words being raised tonight. The degree team was amazing, the lessons, and light that was gained was special. PHA lodges from all over Texas came together for our midwinter session to be part of it. To be raised with nearly 90 brothers from all over Texas was...
I have to agree with rpbrown. You have to get in the word and study. Study by yourself and study with a community of believers to gain more understanding. Having a study bible is great. Two good ones are the Holman Christian Standard Study Bible and the Life Application Study Bible.
My first reaction was, "wow". This lady is angry or wants to burn this guy. As a FC I'm ignorant to how any lodge should handle this. Yet I'm thinking let your WM know and hopefully address it. The question is how do you address it. Now this is only my opinion but if the lady has mentioned the...
