You won't find the statement online as it pre-dates today's widespread use of the Internet but I can guarantee you that it is genuine.
However, you must be careful because the statement does NOT extend to the Co-Masons (your original topic) of Le Droit Humain as that organisation fails the...
Sorry to be picky but can I just correct the terminology here.
Internet Lodge No. 9659 is not "recognised by the UGLE" it is a Lodge warranted by the UGLE.
Under the UGLE, if we know someone well enough and we believe that he would make a good Freemason but has not shown any interest we are allowed to say to him that "we think that he may enjoy joining a Lodge". If he doesn't express a preference either way we are allowed to remind him of the fact...
Sadly the preamble is incorrect!
All legitimate Grand Lodges in the world do not have a direct lineage to the Grand Lodge of London (later Premier of England). There are many Grand Lodges that came from Lodges under the Grand Lodges of Ireland and Scotland not to mentione the Antients Grand...
The best way is tomake contact with your own Grand Secretary who will help you to make your arrangements by contacting the Grand Lodge that is recognised by your own.
IF what you are saying is accurate, you should consider yourself honour-bound to raise it both with his Proposer and the Master of the Lodge immediately.
There is absolutely no way to find out the answer to such a question. Being master masons does not mean that we have a "hive mind" approach to life, love and the universe, as mentioned before eaxgh of us is an individual.
There are soem questions that you could get an answer to for example: Do...
It is not dampened as such, there are plenty of Appendant Orders here but they just haven't grown the same intertwined relationship with the Craft as they have in the US and some European countries.
For example it seems that in America many Freemasons think that the Scottish Rite is as old as...
OK I sit corrected there are three Shrine Clubs that doesn't really support the idea of "the Shrine" being in England.
It also does not correct my original statement that over here Appendant Bodies are kept at arms length from Freemasonry, hence why they can not cause the problems as...
Hi Glen, that is not really a "correction" is it?
A few english Masons started a Shrine Club and did want to start a European "Temple", however, as far as I know the Temple fell through and the Club has become inactive.
You've just detailed what the problem was, I've already told you that it has stopped, so I don't see what it is you're looking for. Unless you're looking for some gossip which of course is not a Masonic thing to seek.
I'm not too sure what you're trying to imply. There were no concessions, the GLNF has just returned to practising regular Freemasonry.
You will easily find the details all around the Internet regarding why recognition was removed in the first place.
I am very pleased to share that I have just been present at the UGLE's Quarterly Communications where we voted on the proposition to once again recognise the GLNF. The vote was positive.
Ohh I missed some!
1) As to the original poster's comment there is no organisational link between ANY of the three Grand Lodges operating within the United Kingdom and the Royal Family.
ALSO
2) Neither the UGLE nor the GLoS have a person who is a "Patron of the Craft". Thye UGLE's charities...
