York Rite Equivalent of Morals and Dogma?

No equivalent of which I am aware to M&D. I would recommend Neville Cryer’s books.

Should the history channel have done a show on freemasons.

UGLE and GLScot both participated in documentaries showing the temple and parts of ritual.

“..full of wise and learned view…” Well, we’re full of something. :). I understand your point, and the balance between openness and maintaining mystique. One of my favorite moments in my mother lodge is the lighting which leaves the officers in shadow during the degree. With a nod to Brother...

Is the end really near for freemasonry ?

Yes. We have many “trained” in the rituals, like a clever parrot, but understanding the rituals? Not so much. So, we continue our education, we care for each other, we do good works, we help other lodges, we fellowship. In sum, we mason.

Is the end really near for freemasonry ?

Need? No, a bar isn’t needed. But as a convenient place to chat and enjoy one another’s comp, it’s great. My buildings in England have bars. I don’t drink. I still enjoy my time there. May I ask why you feel so strongly on the subject that you would stop attending?

I do agree that Shrine doesn’t advance the Hiramic legend. But does KT?

Shrine in Arkansas drops MM requirement

I haven’t experienced that. Note, those who are the embarrassment are all masons. Each were voted into a lodge. So, perhaps it is masons who shouldn’t exist? It would also appear that the behavior would still exist, as the individuals involved in the behavior would still be masons.

'12 Mighty Orphans' Tells Story of Texas Masonic Home Football Team

I would add that if the individuals named in the movie were alive, they would be able to maintain a defamation action. Pete Normand wrote on the matter.
