I did awesome. Thank you for the great words of encouragement. Everything is a go for my FC on Saturday, 9 AM Atascosa lodge #379. Donuts and coffee at 9 AM. Degree work then sandwiches after.
Once again Thank you all.
All I was saying, whether I am a young mason or not, is that we don't need to knock on doors or put letters on cars. My intention was not to be taken as confrontational. I was just stating my opinion "lead by example".
If people want to know about masonry all they have to do is spend some time on google. Yes I said it. Weather you find the good or the wrong you will find something. This raises questions that can not be confirmed or denied with out the aide of a Freemason. If we would get up off our expletive...
We just updated ours. It finally said the right people and a week later all of the officers are gone from all the lodges.
The GL doesn't update that themselves. Our page, until recently, said the officers from three or four years ago were still in their seats.
Does anyone know why the Grand Lodge of Texas' site took all the officers off the lodge info pages?
Example: You'd go to the the lodge locator button and pick which way you wanted to find a lodge. Then you could see, if they updated it, the lodge officers. Now you cant.
I wasn't asking for advice for my and my brothers situation. I was merely asking the question "What would you do" if you were in this position. I am going to leave this alone for several reasons. First, he and his brothers are happy and I wouldn't want to change that. Secondly, I get a kick out...
If you find out your brother, friend or loved one has joined up with a clandestine lodge what would you do? Have any of you had to deal with this before? Do you tell them even if they seem happy? Do you inform the GL?
Any answer is a good answer even if this makes you mad. It kind of makes...
So I didn't wait and I asked my secretary today. Marshal lodge is still listed in the List of Lodges Masonic in 2009 as lodge 133. Prince hall is still Jachim lodge 133.
Thank you all for your help.
It really doesn't surprise me that he is, most likely, in a clandestine lodge. It doesn't even bother me I can not sit in lodge with him. It will bother him a lot more when I go to visit him and I refuse to sit in lodge with him or the really nice people that are a part of his "lodge". He will...
The problem with asking my brother is he is always right even when he's not. He says he's in a Blue House not a Prince Hall. He says some of the guys came from Prince hall. Since he's right he'll just argue with me and I don't want that. Thank you for your help.
My brother, as in my mother also had him, is a "Master Mason" in a lodge called "Exodus 133". He says it is a lodge in Coal City, Illinois. I have been to some function at a bar with them. I met a couple officers and enjoyed myself. So the fact that the lodge exists isn't the question. Can...
I am attending San Antonio College for the mortuary science A.A.S. degree. I also want to continue on for a B.A. in business, sociology or psychology.
Thank you all for the words of encouragement. I plan on taking quite a while to write this paper. I'd put money on it taking the better part of...
An update about me...
I will be giving my proficiency on August fourth, getting passed on the eighth and I'm up for the cemetery committee as soon as I'm raised. As long as everything goes well I will be giving my FC proficiency on the first Tuesday of September and raised shortly there...
Okay. I understand that, statistically speaking, there "has" to be some form of other life. With this in mind, would that life come to just outside of earth to fly around a several mile long stick like some bugs?
I did end up going. I found myself going through the words or steps in my head and with my lips. I enjoyed myself. I actually knew someone who was there. He was at our past master ceremony. The WM, secretary, SD, tyler, and so on were some of the nicest people I have ever met. Everyone was nice...
