We got into organics about 15 years agowhen our lawn was taken out by grub worms. We put out the pesticide that the local garden shop recommended and from that day until we detoxifed the yard 4 months later, our dog would not step foot in the yard. She did her business on the sidewalk. The day...
As others have stated, the IC have lives of their own outside of the lodge. I have been on several IC's but have to step back from them in the summer as I am in the A/C business and time is very limited then. We have had to do a couple of investigations at the lodge before a meeting. Although...
We have MM from 19 up to 90 involved with our lodge. If you do a true average, ours would be about 35-40 although there are only a few in that age range.

Now, that narrows it down a bit. There are several "good" areas around McKinney. There is Frisco, Plano (not really recommended), Allen. Those are some of the larger towne but if you want to get out into the smaller towns, then Melissa, Trenton, Farmersville are all within short commutes.
The wireless mic's are good but rather expensive for those that will last a while ($200.00-$500.00 each for good ones that will last). I donated a new sound board/amplifier and the lodge voted to pay to replace all of the mic's, wiring and speakers. We bought 4 condensing microphones (WM, SW...
Part of the issue at hand is take a look at the world around us. Everyone is "in it" for themselves. Not many care about the "other person" until it affects them.
Granted there are a lot of issues other than this bu I am of the opinion that if you go out and live your life as a Mason should for...
Agreed. Dallas area is huge. Actually covers a 9 county area and about 7 million people. There are "nice" areas all over as well as some that are not so nice just as in any large city. What are your interests? What type of work do you do? Are you going to buy or rent?
First, I feel that you were in the right in your decision to nominate someone else. I commend you on your restraint. In my past years I am afraid that I would have dropped to his level and retaliated. However, I have mellowed out over the years and think now that cooler heads should prevail...
I am an Endowed member and did so in case of not being able to pay my dues in my twilight years which are fast approaching. However, I still, of my own free will, continue to pay my dues so as to help the lodge and not be a burden to it.
I was getting gas the other day. I was on my motorcycle and wearing my vest with the S & C on the back. I heard a noise behind me and an elederly woman was trying to yell to me from her car in the turn lane. I stopped pumping gas and walked over to where I could hear her. She had broken down and...
Every year at dues time, we set a committee to review past due dues. If a member is past due and has been fairly regular in lodge, one of the committee will contact them. If it is indeed a hardship case, we provide a list to the secretary and have a vote "to pay the dues for brothers as...
I have set on several investigating committees and never have seen that asked so I went out to the truck to look at a current petition. There is nothing about your mothers maiden name. Someone is messing with you sir.
Prior to being given any drug test, you are supposed to fill out paperwork, giving permision and such. Along with that paperwork is a form that asks if you do or have in the past taken any medications which may show up. You should answer yes. Then it will (or should) ask you to list them and...

Welcome to the forum.
First, find a local lodge. You can use the lodge locator on the Grand Lodge of Texas website. Chances are in a town the size of Flint, you will know someone that is a Mason. Contact the...
