Fireman’s Park Ag Barn - Graham, TX
Members of Young County Masonic Lodge #485 AF & AM, along with their Wives, Children, and Grandchildren gathered at Fireman’s Park Ag Barn in Graham, TX on August 13th, 2011 for the 5th Annual Young County Masonic Lodge Scholarship Auction.
History - Five years ago Young County Masonic Lodge #485 was presenting one scholarship each Spring to a graduating senior at Graham High School. While funds each year were often short the Brothers were committed to maintaining this scholarship but also desired to expand the scholarship offerings not only at Graham High School but at the other two high schools in Young County. After much discussion the Masons of Young County Masonic Lodge committed themselves to host a public
consignment auction. In the five years since the 1st auction Young County Masonic Lodge #485 has provided scholarship monies for the continuing education of twenty students from Graham, Newcastle, and Olney High Schools. Plans for the Spring of 2012 are to provide funding for six more scholarships for soon to be graduating seniors.
