Brother Tom Powers of Northwest Lodge 1434 passed away this week after a long fight with pancreas cancer. Brother Tom is a past master of Northwest and was very active in the Tomball Shriner's Club.
Tom was soft spoken and always had an encouraging word for those he came in contact with. Brother Powers was a frequent visitor of Cypress Lodge 1423 and was loved by the brothers in both lodges.
Tom never complained about his illness and was in good spirits to the end. As in his exemplary life, Tom shows us the path, with high dignity, to that undiscovered country from who's borne no traveler returns.
We're all better men for having known this man.
