The Texas Lodge of Research has implemented a new self study program called The Guild of Masonic Studies. It is a great program with a curriculum to lead the Brother to further Light by asking questions that need to be researched using various Masonic resources such as the internet, the Monitor, and Masonic Encyclopedias. I just started the first set of quizzes which will make me an "Assistant Historian." The second lends you the title "Associate Historian." And the third, "Journeyman Historian." Here is a link directly to the quizzes.

Purpose and Description of the Guild of Masonic Studies
The Guild of Masonic Studies is a self-paced course of study designed to provide additional knowledge of Freemasonry, the history of Texas Masonry, and the lessons found in the first three degrees of the Craft. This program includes three separate open-book quizzes with corresponding essays. These quizzes will not satisfy, or replace, the paper acceptance requirement for full membership in the Texas Lodge of Research. Participation in the Guild of Masonic Studies is open to all Masons in good standing with a Lodge that recognizes fraternal relations with the Grand Lodge of Texas.
