I agree that "Born in Blood" is a great book to keep those wheels turning. Currently, I am reading "The Secret History of the World" by Mark Booth. It's not strictly Masonic, but still very interesting and does have Masonic references. If you want to stick to Masonic literature, I highly suggest Pike's "Morals and Dogma." It's a heavy read and will really get those gears turning, but it is absolutely worth it. I also suggest Pike's "Esoterika." It is strictly Blue Lodge related and, in my humble opinion, one of the best books ever written.

My favorite is Mystic Tie by Albert Mackey. I have a first addition from 1838 that I look to fondly. You can find it on Google Play and other past copyright books.
