Not to hijack the thread, but electricians do not usually wear jewelry. Catching 220V or more through a gold ring can cautarize a finger and pop it right off. Have never seen it in person, but have heard that many times from my days in the military. Some guys would even get thier wedding band tattooed on thier ring finger so they wouldn't have to face the wrath of the wife. It took me years to get back in the habit of wearing even my wedding ring.
