I am just starting to get settled in here at Fort Hood, TX and was looking to find a mason at the Copperas Cove, TX location. Is there anyone that can connect me with someone? Thank you

http://grandlodgeoftexas.org/lodgelocator Search for Bell county. You will see 6 lodges.

http://www.mwphglotx.org/about/affiliated-lodges/ Enter Bell into the Search box. You will see 4 lodges.

In the US the standard method is to show up an hour before the scheduled meeting. Pick a few that are easy commutes from home. Introduce yourself and ask how to become a Mason. Get to know the brothers. Every lodge has a slightly different personality. Bigger and smaller, more and less active, members in certain occupations, you name it. Once you have been to a few of the lodges decide which one is for you. Don't be surprised if you know someone in at least one lodge and you had no idea he was a Mason.

Once you have selected your target lodge, put that meeting on your monthly calendar. Go every month from then on. Ask for a petition. Expect it to take a few months before the brothers know your interest is genuine.
