To be a Master of yourself, to subdue the passions, and to be guided by the principles of conduct which are required for the triumph of good over evil, of service to others over self to self. Is it a way, the world over, which has triumphed in every civilized age, in every truely great empire? There is always, upon pondering and hindsight, the risk of a perceived superiority and distortion, but alas that is freewill and our limited understanding is constant. To treat the weak with gentleness, the isolated with generosity, the dying with hope, and the poor with teaching, these are the mark of the protectors, who stand together against all that is base and depraved in human kind. And there is no limit to the accomplishment of this art that any person can attain. If all men ever join together in unity, it will be upon this level foundation that we build. And the Deity drops a plumb line amongst us, that is sure.
