Re: Have people had visitation with God or their D
Brothers,
Do you believe individuals can , or, have been visited by their Deity or other Holy Spirits?
Yes, because it has happened to me, and others I know experienced similar events.
Do you believe they are real or imagined?
As real as someone standing before you when conscious.
While conscious, or otherwise in an altered state of
These occurred during sleep, or while in a "comatose" condition due to trauma or medical emergency, and near death experiences.
Some claim "out of body experiences"...?
Seeing the white light calling them, reassuring them, etc...?
I will relate my experiences below in summary for you.
Many have probably just kept it to themselves for fear of others not believing them, or trying to rationalize it to themselves.
I have related these events to those directly related to the events, and my family only.
I was somewhat skeptical about people claiming to have experienced these events until it happened to me.
Just curious?
My Brothers,
After a very serious motorcycle collision (with a truck), I suffered broken ribs, a shattered rt./leg, [a "jig-saw puzzle"], (27 fractures w/ 2 compound protruding fractures), mild concussion, and numerous contusions and abrasions.
I was airlifted to a trauma center, while en route I coded once, afterwards, I remained conscious for the next 20/+ hours, slipping into a coma the next day. While in ICU, the next day I coded once again (which was later related to me during my 3 1/2 month hospital stay). While I was in the ICU I was looking down at everything from a boom platform while the person next to me told everyone what to do. I couldn't speak, and I was very cold.
I remained in the coma for 12 days, during which time I had numerous experiences with similar events as the first one. I was able to
recall a conversation between two doctors (verbatim) to which I couldn't explain, except that I was standing next to them in the forest waiting for someone to pick me up. All the while, I felt like someone had "unplugged" my energy source, (like the feeling you get when you bang your head really hard against the ground after falling). Again, I wasn't able to speak just observe, nor participate except to do what they told me to do. Part of their conversation had to do with me being in God's hands now, that they had done everything they could do. One of them said he told my family to pray because that was the only thing left to do. That I probably wouldn't make it through the night.
These events were so real, and indelibly printed in my memory that I can still visualize them today, and recall most of their conversation. When I was able to ask the individuals involved about these events and recalled their conversation verbatim, they literally turned pale. They explained that there was no one else in the area that could have known what was said except them.
Fortunately, I made a full recovery and went on to live a fairly normal life. However since that time I have had several visitations from my deceased father (who died in front of me when I was 15, while at home), and my deceased brother who passed away several years later while in the hospital.
Sadly, my father and I were at odds prior to his passing (which I regretted later), normal teenage stuff. The night before he passed he sat down with me and wanted to talk. He asked me to take care of my mother, because he wouldn't be able to. The previous night, he said his deceased brother (uncle Bob) had come to him, and told him it was time for him to join him. My father wasn't ill or sick when this happened, though he died of a massive heart attack the next morning.
Years later, while in my 20's, I had my first of many visitations from him (during some stressful times in my life), one night. He came to me and said, let's go for a walk. This isn't like a dream type memory, it was as real as any experience someone can have. We talked about life and things that happened, and he reassured me everything from the past was ok, and that the troubles in my present life would go away (which did 2 days later) very soon. We spent several hours in "real time" together that first encounter, and when it was time for him to go he said, he had to leave, but he would be there anytime I needed him. I was so happy we could talk and be together, yet saddened because he was leaving, that I was actually crying in the event, and real life. My wife was actually awakened by my sobbing.
I had several more of these visits over the years with him.
My Brother visited with me twice after my mother passed at 79, he passed at 39 twelve years earlier.
His visits weren't about anything in particular, he just wanted us to get out and enjoy nature, so we would walk in the mountains and just talk about when we were kids. I could actually smell the trees, and feel him give me a hug when he said goodbye !!
Lastly, a few months ago, I had an experience like none I've ever had before, or since. I was in the presence of an "all encompassing" entity, there was no person or body present. There were no audible words spoken, yet I understood what was being communicated to me. For the first time in my life, I was experiencing true peace and tranquility, I had no worries, doubts, pain, or unhappy feelings or thoughts of any kind, it is the closest thing to nirvana I've ever experienced before, or since. I understood that my belief's were being validated by the Almighty Himself. I didn't want to come back here, there was an overwhelming desire to stay right there, though I knew I needed to return.
Some may think me crazy, or a "little off my rocker", but until one experiences this type of event, they can only rely on their faith. I now know that if your beliefs are true and sincere, that God will be present in your life, now and in the hereafter.
I hope all of my Brothers who have yet to experience such an event are blessed with a visit from their Deity so they
can know without a doubt their faith will be rewarded.
Yours, in His service.
