Bringing a friend

I will be turning in my petition Thursday. Am I allowed to bring a friend that is interested? Also can any Mason sign my petition or does it have to be from that lodge?

These are questions that should really be answered by the Lodge in question. I am of course assuming that as you are Petitioning you are talking to someone in that Lodge.

Starting the day you are initiated in general you will not be able to invite anyone. You have a limited time to invite friends. After you are initiated you can continue to suggest to friends that they arrive at the building an hour before the monthly meeting to get to know the brothers, as was suggested to you on this forum.

As to who can sign for you on your petition each jurisdiction has its own rules and the details are different jurisdiction to jurisdiction. It should say on the form. Ask the lodge you are petitioning for clarification.

If you both turn in a petition at the same time you can share the experience and learn together . It will help to have someone to practice with.
