Masonic Charges

Have the ones you've witnessed been frivolous or necessary? Under what circumstances did they occur? Did anything for the good of Masonry come about?

Yes, both frivolous and unnecessary, and done for the sole purpose of causing trouble.

Seriously, are there lodges are filling charges as often as the amount of questions seem to imply?

btw (by the way), "sounds like an interesting..." is sarcastic.

i apologize. for clarification, it wouldn't be interesting or fun to take part of at all (masonic charges) if i were there personally.

It's not very often, but things sure get ugly. When the charges are justified it's truly a shame... When charges are filed it will always be emotionally charged. It takes quite a long length of time for things to recover. When I was told I had to review some charges I was as nervous a virgin on her honeymoon night.

All I can say is I have not seen charges filed and I hope that I do not. No matter if they are just or not, I hope I can live my life and not be a witness to it.

in relation to scott32º's posts about brazos union.. a LOT of their earliest minutes are
FILLED with brothers charging each other. the 10th century was a very chaotic time in our past, it would seem.

Wow! Good thing the GLoT came about in the 19th century to sort things out! ;)

It's cool that the Lodge still has the minutes from back then! :D
