Do you?How many brothers have at least one person in their lodge of a different ethic group or race? Just wondering.
Yes, one brother of European descent and one Latino that I have met so far.Do you?
The history between blacks and whites in America is unique. Only in the past 50 years has it been about anything other than slavery, dominance, control and Jim Crow servitude imposed on blacks by the white majority.Something I've never understood, why was other races allowed to join regular GL and subordinate lodges but not Blacks ? Most say it's in reference to "Being free born" but other races were slaves also. It's almost as if racism is primarily a black and white thing. I can go to the most rural area and they will admit a Hispanic, Asian, Native American, etc, but it will be more resistance if a black man tries to join. Could someone answer this, not looking for a debate, just an honest answer.
But again, why was other races allowed to join "white" GL and subordinate lodges, but not blacks ? If a black man was free born then why couldn't he join ?The history between blacks and whites in America is unique.
