Regarding PHA members

Since that subject has been brought up, I've always been curious as to why dual & plural memberships are generally disallowed in PH. Many of our smaller GLoTX Lodges are surviving mainly due to plural members.

Would you like my personal, and probably unpopular, opinion? Some PHGLs need their membership to be dedicated to sustaining their own lodges and not spending their money elsewhere.

I'm not quite following you, my Brother- if you belong to & support multiple Lodges within the same GL, how does it negatively affect that GL? In my GL, each Lodge I belong to pays a per capita fee to the GL on my behalf. My multiple memberships actually benefit my GL financially.

Sometimes, brother, things just make too much sense to be right.

Unfortunately we both are left to wonder about this subject. I wish i had the answer but won't make an attempt. Might be asking for trouble if i do.

If memory serves, plural (dual/multiple) memberships are a somewhat recent innovation in State GLs as well.
