Well now that the dust is starting to settle, here are some really cool features available:

1. Calendar: This could be extremely useful! Have a degree, event or fundraiser coming up? You can add these to the calendar. It'll be a wonderful resource if we can get some participation in it.

2. Built in IM support

3. Ranking System. The more posts you contribute to, the higher the rank you receive! New people start out as ruffians and it goes from there..lol.

4. Better Personal Message support. This of it as SMS on the forum. You can also have it instantly notify you with a popup if you've received one.

5. You can create albums.

6. You can embed youtube videos. Copy the embed code and type:
[youtube] INSERT CODE [/youtube.
Any many more.

Wow the options are great. I know once we get the theme down it will be great.

careful with activating a lot of those embedded codes, etc. activating pure html can create security leaks as well.

most of them get fixed pretty regularly by vB, so I'd recommend keeping your boards up to date.
