A Brother came to our relief

This weekend we headed to Houston to visit some family. As we entered the huge subdivision my sister lives in, I pulled over and started pecking around on google maps desperately trying to find her street address. All of a sudden a car pulls in front of us and this guy gets out, proceeds to my window and knocks. As I cautiously rolled down the window he greeted me with a huge grin and asked if I needed any assistance. I told him of our situation and how I was trying to find my sisters house. He then asked if I was a traveling man and of course you know the answer ;) Anyway, he told me that he saw my wifes blue slipper symbol on the back of the car and wanted to make sure we were alright. How cool is that? He also vouched for us at the guard station so I didn't have to check in. I can't remember his name, but he hailed from Spring Lodge.

I've always heard about Brothers helping those with Masonic symbols, especially the blue slipper but I experienced it first hand. It left a huge impression on my wife who said she feels safer knowing that if a Mason see's her in distress he'll come to her aid. God Bless this fraternity!

This is the first I've heard of the "blue slipper." Do you have an image of it and does it simply mean mason's wife?

Glad to see a fellow brother helped you out! If you're ever in the Montgomery /Lake Conroe area let me know. We can always break bread together!

I'd like to get a blue slipper. Can I get one and give it to my mom? Or is it just for wives and girlfriends?

Best,
Jerry

Of course he won't ask for directions! Not with a woman setting next to him. Remember brother Bill_Lins77488, it's a profane world out there.

Steady brother! If you're free come on down to Billy Wayne Tinsley's stated meeting Saturday morning. We feed at eight sharp. Lodge around thereafter. First exit past North Belt on 45. Turn left at the light, just past the church (a block or so down) on the right, just across from the football stadium. Love to have you.

I bought one for my wife at the Grand Master's visit when he came to town a few weeks ago. I think the Grand Lodge has them for sale Item #542DCSD, but I did not see them listed on the website with the latest merchandise form. (I did see it on a 2009 form when I Googled it) It cost $1. Gold mylar with blue, about 3 inches tall. There are some vendors as well as Grand Lodge that have them for taillights too.
