They will not leave me alone , I no longer want to be WP and tried to make a deal with the AP that we could take turns until we get more Master Masons as members but he refuses . And I have enough on my plate as a member of two lodges , (soon to be) DDGM , my YR bodies , president of the Past Master's Club and being VP on the board of directors of the Temple where my YR bodies meet . The two least important bodies had to go to make room for what is important to me and what I wanted to or could be active in , I first demitted out of the SR and now the OES .
ETA: They want me to be WP BUT we have a handful who think they run the show from the back of the Chapter room . If I say something , it is completely ignored . My problem is , all the members have been there for decades or live around each other and have a clique . I am an outsider in that I do not have the decades served nor do I run in their circle . When it is time to confer the degrees of the OES , OH YEAH , all are looking at me as top dog . But other than that , I am largely ignored/dismissed , a seat filler .
Do not take me wrong , the degrees of the OES are beautiful and meaningful but I just do not have the time nor the inclination to remain a member .
